Not The Bronze Bwianth

Impressee: A'too (Artoo)

Name: Bwianth
Pronounciation: bwi - an - th
Colour: Bronze
Hex Colour Code: c4bf8a
Hatching: Gold Femaith x Brown Neovith , Late Autumn P8 T16
Final Size: 42' wingspan of 64'

Bwianth isn't exactly an impressive looking bronze - his colour is a faded sandy bronze, which while still shiny, pales in comparison to other bronzes. His lack of markings don't help him stand out any either, but that's just the way Bwianth likes it. As a hatchling, he tends towards gangly, with long legs and awkward posture; something that will stick with him far into adulthood. As an adult, though, he will develop into what could almost be called a handsome bronze, long and slender with a deep chest and muscled shoulders. His wings are not particular large, but this gives him an agility most bronzes don't possess - Bwianth is one of the most agile bronzes in the Weyr.

Unfortunately, despite his natural agility, Bwianth is not a particularly enthusiastic Threadfighter. He does fight, of course, but his efforts seem more like they're done because he has to, it's what's expected. When he is fighting, he has a knack for self preservation - flaming Thread a moment before it hits him. Beyond that, he's an adequate though hardly exceptional fighter - largely due to his own laziness. Bwianth doesn't mind; all he wants is to get through life without anyone paying much attention to him. He's happy to be a follower rather than a leader.

But being a bronze, Bwianth tends to find himself in leadership positions, particularly as a weyrling. And despite his insistence, You don't need to follow me, you've got to think for yourselves! he will end up with others looking to him for guidance. Maybe it's because his unwittingly sensible and level-headed nature appeals to them. He will offer half-hearted attempts at wisdom, Don't pass judgement or you might be judged yourself, before eventually getting frustrated at the whole idea and retreating to his weyr to sulk alone. He can't help but think the whole word is ridiculous and no one can see it but him.

Bwianth isn't a particularly politcally minded dragon, but he does always seem to end up on the wrong side of whoever's in authority at a given time. If there's a plot forming against the Weyrleader, you can bet Bwianth will be unwittingly mixed up in it, probably in an effort to impress a female. He'll happily declare his enthusiasm in the cause of the moment, and it's a tendency that will likely lead to trouble. He'll spend plenty of a time as a weyrling being punished for things others instigated but he somehow ended up involved in.

If he were a man, Bwianth would be a momma's boy - he continues to go to Femaith for reassurance long after he's grown, fretting to her about perceived insecurities. Is my nose too big? Any long term mate will also be subjected to Bwianth's lack of self confidence; something that will tend to drive his mates away in short order. He's mostly harmless though; Bwianth's main priority in life is to impress females. He'll chase any female that so much as looks at him, doing his best to make the catch. After a successful catch he will continue to pursue the same female until she turns him away; he'll do her bidding with dogged loyalty until she does.

Hatching Message:
The rocking motion of the brightly coloured M&Egg had left it sitting in an awkwardly canted position in the sands. In fact, such was the angle, many of the weyrfolk didn't even notice the little egg split open and spill out a tangled mess of bronze limbs. That was okay. The dragon within hadn't been expecting a fanfare.

Not The Bronze spent a few minutes concentrating on getting his wings and legs in order. Then he rose to his feet, his steps as awkward as a newborn runner. Any of the candidates who were hoping to Impress a glorious and handsome bronze dragon of their own were likely to be disappointed by the way this gangly bronze stumbled across the sands.

He stopped as he reached the candidates, glancing back at Femaith for reassurance. Then he took another hesitant step - and tripped, tumbling forward and crashing into a squat boy. They both righted themselves and Artoo's face broke into a wide grin. "That's okay, Bwianth," he could be heard mumbling by those nearby. "We'll get you something to eat."

Egg Name: M&Egg
Egg Description: This egg is one of the smallest in the clutch, but with it's cheerful yellow colour, it stands out. It's not quite perfect in shape; though generally oval, there are some imperfections in the shell. The bright yellow of it's shell is unmarked apart from one white 'm' shaped marking at the thicker end - though what that means, nobody knows. The shell, when touched, feels crisp; this egg hardened up earlier than it's fellows. It's a little egg that is trying very hard to be liked, but while some candidates may prefer it, the vast majority favour it's siblings. It's not that there's anything wrong with it - it's a nice friendly egg - it's just that, well, the others are better.
