Green Erymelath

Impressee: L'olz (Lolzedek)

Name: Erymelath
Pronunciation: Err-ruh-mel-eth
Colour: Green
Hex Colour Code: 215E21 (A9C9A4)
Final Size: 27' length with a wingspan of 47'

Erymelath is an average dragon in terms of length, though she boasts a more streamlined and aerodynamic form than typical of that for a green. Her wings are also long and tapered, slightly disproportionate to her body as they extend significantly due to their fuller length. But the rest of her body is quite average for a green dragon, emphasizing agility as well as speed, and while she can last an entire 'Fall, she is otherwise lacking in stamina and strength in comparison with larger dragons. Her coloration is interesting in that she is bi-colored, a darker green on top — that reminds one of the color of the forest, and so she blends in quite easily from above when flying over the treetops — and a lighter green underside from the neck to the base of the tail, plus the wings, that seem to be a whitewashed shade of her dorsal coloring.

Erymelath is a very logical and pragmatic dragon, believing that reason will always trump over emotions. She holds little to no sympathy to the plight of others, including even her rider to some extent, feeling that most of the time he deserves many of the problems and punishment he has received. She is often his voice of reason, and common sense, usually finding herself exasperated by the fact that she cannot stop him from his mischief and lack of desire to be informative. Neither does she care much for his flitt Biscuit, and so long as the thing doesn't bother or involve her, then she is quite unconcerned with what happens to it. Erymelath is an honest dragon, almost to a fault, as she can be brutally so as she does not believe in sugarcoating or lying simply because she might disappoint or offend someone. Truth is knowledge, and knowledge is power, and she never hesitates to correct someone if she knows they are otherwise incorrect. She is terrible at keeping secrets, and her rider will find that she is often unintentionally telling his classmates his deepest, darkest secrets simply because they asked and she didn't see a reason not to answer. Erymelath is not a dragon to be swayed by words, and during a flight, she will immediately dismiss those that try to win her over with flattering comments, instead focusing on the ones that strive to catch her with their intelligence and strength.

(Name comes from the Greek word for eagle, eryr, and the Greek mythology of Philomela, who is likened to a nightingale.)

Hatching/Impression Message:
When the Ever So Green Egg decided to hatch, there was no pomp or circumstance about it. The egg started with subtle trembles that might have gone unnoticed had one not been staring right at it, but then it started growing to more distinct shakes until it finally graduated to a violent rocking back and forth. Then it fell over, and the force of all the movement caused it to crack open. There the dark green lay curled up, peering around with beady eyes as she surveyed her surroundings. Slowly she straightened so that she was sitting on her haunches, and that was when the stark contrast of the pale green on her underside was noticeable. After a moment of gazing, she took a few steps forward, and then without hesitation, swooped quickly towards Lolzedek. "Her name is Erymelath! Isn't she beautiful?" L'olz announced to everyone, but a sharp peck of the green's nose against his legs took his attention, and he gave the green a sheepish grin before allowing her to lead him off the sands.

Egg Name: Ever So Green Egg
Egg Description: If there was an egg that screamed green, it would be this one. The base color is nothing special, just a very common and not at all standout green. But all across the surface of the egg are little speckles of a shimmering turquoise that gives off the impression of a sparkling emerald. What it truly looks like is as if someone tossed bright turquoise glitter all over the shell, and so the egg twinkles from all angles. The surface of the egg looks as if the speckles really are glitter, looking bumpy and should one dare to touch, the surface if the egg is exactly that. The shape is also a bit interesting, more round than oval, and it's hard to decide when the egg is right-side up or fallen on its side.
