See you Space Cowboy Bronze to Indria (Shelacs)
Colour: Bronze
Adult Size: 17" wingspan of 22"

Physical Description:
A long fire-lizard, this guy loves speed and excitement. Luckily for him, he's built to be efficient and quick. Roughly average in size for his colour, he's got a compact, streamlined form. His head flows into a narrow, pointed snout; his neck, legs, and tail are not overly long for his form, so they don't slow him down in the air. His wings are just the right size to give him lift and power, and when he really gets going they sweep back to give him the appearance of more bulk at his rear than his front. His colour is a pale bronze, with a green tinge.

Personality:
This bronze has a real carefree attitude to life. He's happy zipping around from place to place, having a laugh with a group of blues, flirting with a fair of greens, getting rejected by a stuffy gold. He's a real ragamuffin. He's got a naughty streak too, seeming to enjoy causing mischief and getting into trouble if the draconic grin he gives after the fact is anything to go by. His main driving force will be food though, and he'll do almost anything for a tasty spiderclaw, or a nice fish. Whether what he does is good or naughty is another matter entirely - and one he doesn't think too much about.

I'm Afraid I can't Do That Bronze to Mavin (wunderingmind)
Colour: Bronze
Adult Size: 18" wingspan of 30"

Physical Description:
Very long and very slim, this bronze's head is large for his body, giving him a slightly bobble-headed appearance. Somehow though, he holds his body in a rather regal way - almost arrogant, some might say. There's something about the way he moves, so controlled and calm, combined with the way he keeps a watchful eye on the world, that makes him rather ominous. His body, limbs and wings are all slim, all perfectly proportioned, almost as if he was made rather than hatched. When his wings are folded they seem to disappear, keeping those crisp lines of his form. Pale enough in colour to be almost white, he is meticulous about keeping his hide clean and gleaming.
thoughtful, poised, ominous

Personality:
This fire-lizard is quiet…almost too quiet. His silent nature, in personality as much as in the way he moves about, makes him seem like he's always plotting something. And he probably is, actually. He's intelligent - very intelligent - and will be quick to learn if his owner teaches him. Once he's mastered something though, he will be rather choosy about whether he listens to them or not. When he does deign to do as he's asked he's efficient and helpful, but when he's not feeling in the mood, he'll simply turn his back and go do his own thing. He spends a lot of time brooding, watching what's going on around him. He'll take advantage of opportune moments. Blue's looked away from the bug he was eating? He'll take it. Opening in a pack of males chasing a gold? He'll zoom through it. That intelligence of his can be deadly.

Like A Leaf on the Wind Brown Ramiel to Azrael (Shouriko)
Colour: Brown
Adult Size: 13" wingspan of 21"

Physical Description:
Short and stocky, this brown's wings are noticeably stubby, even in comparison with his barrel-chested form. His neck is slim in comparison to the rest of his frame, and a sharp contrast to his short, rather fat tail. His head is clunky looking, perched on top of that sweeping skinny neck, giving him an overall rather odd appearance that some might call ugly. In colour, he's a patchwork of different browns of various shades, almost as if he's been patched up with different bits of hide. The only bit of him that looks a certain colour on purpose is the last third of his tail, which is a pale yellowy brown, like a trail of sparks behind him. He's not the most agile in the air, being slow to turn due to his configuration, but he can put on the odd burst of speed and is rather good at taking off and landing near vertically.

Personality:
This brown's a noble creature, always proud of what he does. Even if he's uncertain in his mind about a decision, he acts outwardly sure, but never quite reaching into arrogant territories. He's got a sort of swagger to him, a way of walking and moving that's fluid and easy. His voice has a lazy feel to it, almost a drawl, although he can sing quite melodiously when he wants to. He loves the open skies, and will spend quite a lot of his time flying around and exploring. He's never going to settle in one place, preferring to sleep in different places in the Weyr. He may even venture as far as the Holds of his own accord. But he is fiercely loyal to his human through thick and thin, and he'll always check in with them to show them some affection - albeit it not for long before the skies and adventure call to him again.

No One Can Hear You Scream Brown Ripper to K'shem (Ivy)
Colour: Brown
Adult Size: 15" wingspan of 27"

Physical Description:
The one major word to describe this guy? Ugly. Yep, he's not a pretty fire-lizard by any means, and will probably get his fair share of eyes averted from him. A dull, medium shade of brown, he has no particular variation in colour. No, what makes his hide look varied is his rather uneven appearance. He almost looks lumpy, with bulging muscles and big, spindly fingered wings that he often holds up above himself, so that they cast all sorts of shadows over his form that accentuate his unevenness. His face is particular rugged, with heavy eyebrows and small, ominous eyes. He's big, long legged and with a chunky body. His movements are always slow and purposeful.

Personality:
For all that he is unattractive, this fire-lizard is smart and loyal. Although not the most noisy or social of creatures, he will be an easy joy to teach to fetch messages, and even to fetch items that he is able to carry with his surprising strength. Yep, that bulky, awkward body of his belies a strong fire-lizard, and one who will do most anything that makes his human happy. He prefers to stick to shadows, where possible, and won't be much of a shoulder-sitting pet. Once he's done what his human wants, and possibly received a treat or scratch in return, he'll be off to skulk in dark areas, watching goings on and seeking out food to fill his seemingly empty belly.

Inspiration: The Nostromo, the ship from the original Alien movie.

The Final Frontier Blue to O'od (Ldypayne)
Colour: Blue
Adult Size: 12" wingspan of 24"

Physical Description:
This blue keeps himself clean and neat at all times, taking great pride in his appearance. He's all smooth lines and gentle curves, a real majesty of a fire-lizard to look at. His wingspan is big, and only accentuated further by his slim, sleek body. He's a greyish blue from the tip of his nose to the end of his sweeping tail. The leading edge of his wings is a brighter blue however, the only deviation in his otherwise beautifully uniform colour. He's a very graceful fire-lizard that floats easily on air currents, swooping and moving easily. For the most part he drifts about gently, but when he needs to he can put on stunning bursts of speed.

Personality:
If a fire-lizard could be described as thoughtful, this is the one. He is prone to sitting or floating around observing his surroundings, considering where to go next and what to do. He's a quietly curious thing, with a desire to go out and visit all sorts of new places. He'll prefer to do this with his human, but he'll go alone if they're busy. He'll try to make some friends along the way, usually other fire-lizards, but he enjoys meeting new dragons and even people, too. He's a friendly sort, quiet and calm and just happy about seeing the world.

Inspiration: USS Enterprise from Star Trek, specifically the shiny new craft from the latest film series.

Less than Twelve Parsecs Blue to Ia'sul (mandy)
Colour: Blue
Adult Size: 11" wingspan of 24"

Physical Description:
This blue is very wide, but also very…well, squashed looking? Almost like somebody's stepped on him. He's got short legs that keep him low to the ground, and a wide, sweeping wingspan. While you might think that would make him clumsy in the air, he's actually incredibly agile, able to pull off all sorts of daring moves and tricks. And he'll do them just for the hell of them, too! On the shorter side for length, he still looks big thanks to those broad pinions. He's a very pale blue all over, mottled with odd lines and small patches of medium blue. When he flies, he tends to tuck his forearms up so they jut forward a bit, giving him an odd look in the air.

Personality:
This blue could outdo most bronzes for boldness. He's quick and agile and boy, does he know it. He'll challenge anyone and everyone to a race or a test of their skills, and more often than not he comes out on top. His almost arrogant attitude may make him some enemies (for as long as fire-lizard memories last, anyway), but he just seems to find it all funny. When he's not zipping about showing off to the ladies, this blue can be found lounging around trying to avoid doing any sort of work. He's happier if his food comes to him. He's quite talkative, especially to his human, even if he's not always fully understood.

Made to Last Green to Cenara (Rhee)
Colour: Green
Adult Size: 9" wingspan of 15"

Physical Description:
A vibrant, mid green in colour, this little girl is quite chunky looking, in a way. Her waist is slim, but her hindquarters and shoulders are big with muscle, and smoothly rounded. Her neck is shorter than most fire-lizards, with a head that's proportionate to her body on the end. Despite her bulky-looking body, she's very manoeuvrable and nippy, though! She'll zoom about, and is quick to turn and dodge in the air. It probably helps that her wings are perfectly proportionate to her body, wide enough to give her lift and speed, but not so long that she gets in a tangle when trying to pull off tricks. She'll know how to use them, which is all for the better given her knack of getting into trouble.

Personality:
From the beginning, this fire-lizard will just love exploring. New places are a source of excitement, and new people, fire-lizards and dragons especially intriguing. She loves to make friends, whether the other party wants to or not. For those that also want to be friendly, they will probably be revisited by her on many occasions. However, her often overly friendly nature will probably find her running away from grumpy people who aren't so keen on a little green nosing around them. Fortunately, her speed and agility can get her away from any threats - and boy, will she find threats. She's fearless, diving headlong into new things without checking them out from afar first. The world is just too big and alluring for caution!

So Say We All Green to E'sai (vandelay)
Colour: Green
Adult Size: 9" wingspan of 20"

Physical Description:
This green is not blessed with a long body, but she's got wings for days. They cut through the air with incredible ease, carrying this nippy fire-lizard through every agile move she wants to do. She's amazing to watch in the air, and just as stunning to watch as she hunts. She knows how to put her incredible speed to good use to kill any prey, though her particular favourite are flying insects. She'll run rings around them before finally diving in to make a kill, sharp claws making short work of her victim. Her face is deceptively round and almost cute, though her eyes are often red and ominous. She is a mid green, with symmetrical, smooth waves of darker green on each wing.

Personality:
If you wanted a cute and cuddly fire-lizard, this is not the girl for you. She lives to hunt and kill, and will usually be found on patrol, especially where bugs are gathered. The feeding grounds will be a favourite spot for her, what with all the insects that feast on the remains of dead beasts found there. But that's not to say she will never return to her human, though. They will be her mother ship of sorts, and she feels safe sleeping and resting near them - though not curled up with them. A great difference to her watchful, wary personality away from them, when she's on guard.

Further Than We've Ever Been Green to Cal'in (Corgi)
Colour: Green
Adult Size: 11" wingspan of 18"

Physical Description:
A long and slender lady, this green is all gentle curves and grace. She's an impressive sight, always holding herself with incredible poise and majesty, rather at odds with her humble nature. For all her good looks, she is not an arrogant green. Her size gives her surprising strength, especially in well-muscled forearms, which can easily despatch whatever spiderclaw or fish she's picked for her meal. She is mostly a lighter green, with a slight sheen in the right light, but she has a darker stripe of green on each side of her body, running from the base of her neck, where it is thickest, and up and over her wings, thinning out until it tapers away at the middle of her tail.

Personality:
Whereas some greens are air-headed and loopy, this lady is very much a serene presence. She's calm and quiet, always seeming collected in her thoughts and movements. While some fire-lizards might use their size to look imposing, particularly towards other fire-lizards, she does none of this. She's equally happy on her own, with her human, or in a fair. But there is one thing that calls to her: the need to go further and further afield, exploring the world. She'll find her favourite spots, and return to them with frightening regularity, perhaps getting a reputation for hanging around at certain spots. Going as far as Mathon and even beyond doesn't faze her at all - indeed, she enjoys travelling great distances.

The Universe Moves Around Me Green Esper to Olissia (Dragonblossom)
Colour: Green
Adult Size: 10" wingspan of 15"

Physical Description:
About average size, this green's wings are ever so slightly undersized for her body. Add to that her overly large chest, she has a slightly dorky appearance with her normal-sized head on the end of the neck that juts out from that barrel of a torso. But despite that, she's aerodynamic, all the lines of her body smoothed to perfection to let her slip through the air as easily as an arrow. Sure, her takeoffs can sometimes be a bit awkward as those wings work to get her in the sky, but once she's up, she's away! A delightful pale green, her wingsails are a darker green - but still no darker than young leaves.

Personality:
A real jokester of a green, this girl is a cheerful one. She loves pranks and fun, and is especially fond of going swimming, especially if there are other fire-lizards to join her. She'll fit in well with any fair that'll accept her, zipping about and racing them. She loves to whistle and sing, showing off her cheery disposition. She can perhaps be overconfident in her speed, and may take a tumble now and then. But she'll shake it off, trill happily, and get right back to it as if nothing happened. She's adorable, in a goofy sort of way! She'll not take to much when it comes to training, other than delivering messages - somehow, that she'll take to like a duck to water.
